Last week I splurged and bought my first pair of Madewell denim. Um, hello. I bought the High Riser Skinny Skinny Cut Edge jeans in Jasper. They're amazing. I've been putting off buying blue denim for so long simply because I had a hard time finding washes and cuts I like. Now I'm contemplating jumping ship on most of my other denim and replacing it with Madewell styles. See my picks (plus, fall boot lust) after the jump.

Beyond just pants, though, I've been looking for a pair of replacement boots. After maybe a year and a half, my Jeffrey Campbell Everwells are nearly falling apart. I tried on some perfect Quartz Boots by Freebird at Free People and fell in love — but I'm concerned about quality. Oh and they sold out in my size. But still, Freebird boots are made by Steve Madden, so I'm not sure if the price tag is worth it. If I'm gonna spend a lot of money on boots, I want them to last me more than a year and a half. Any suggestions out there? Here are current styles that I'm loving.
