Nifty Fifty

Time to celebrate! Perhaps I'm a nerd, but I'm very excited to announce that today is my 50th outfit post! That's right, I have shared with you my outfit every single day for fifty days. I can't believe that we've made it this far. We started sharing with some mediocre iPhone photos and then when I wanted to take a bit more seriously, we started carrying my 5D Mark ii around to get all of these lovely images.


I bought this vest a few years ago at a thrift store in San Diego. I had flown west to enjoy my brother's wedding. It was pretty amazing. I really like this vest but I find it hard to match with anything. I think it goes well with that $90 Bebe skirt I thrifted on Monday for $2.50! And look, I'm wearing colored eye shadow. I told you that I may just surprise you. I'm wearing all ELF makeup except for the lipstick, which is Lime Crime in D'Lilac.


I also picked up some new nail polish today. Earlier this week Tish posted about the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure limited edition Barracuda. I headed to the store to get some after work today, but they were sold out. Instead, I picked up four new colors — they were buy one get one half price! On my nails now are Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Mint Sorbet and Bubblegum Pink. I have always loved this color combo because it reminds me of watermelon. I'm a big fan of this line of nail polish. It's so smooth and coats nicely.

I also decided to try a new line of polish. This might sound crazy, but I bought from the new Fast Dry line of Wet 'n' Wild. I'll start off by saying that they were $1.99 per bottle (plus the BOGO 1/2 off), so I was wary that they may not be great quality. While the bottle claims they are fast dry, I tried them out and they didn't set until maybe two minutes. Not terrible, but not the fastest, either. I bought two amazing colors and am so excited that the color names are puns of television show titles! The colors I now own are Gray's Anatomy (and lovely chameleon silver) and Teal of Fortune (a great sparkle dark teal). With Wheel of Fortune being one of my favorite shows and teal being a favorite color or mine, I couldn't resist!
