This morning I finally got to begin 6am shifts again, which means I've been up since the early hour of 4AM. As much as I love the early-in-early-out shifts, I'm pretty happy to be home and relaxing. Tomorrow is going to be another long day and I'm going to be going to bed early to make up for lost sleep. Why haven't I gotten much sleep lately? Too much fun, that's why.
A couple nights ago, Lauren and I went over to Lauren K's place to help her and Jordan blow up their kiddie pool. It was a pretty warm evening, and we chilled out in the tiny pool until around 1am drinking beers and Chat Roulette-ing. I'm not sure why we didn't start doing this earlier in the summer!
Last night Lauren and I stayed up later than necessary to play old Sega games from our youth. That combined with the 4am wake up today has me totally beat. We ran out and snapped these photos quickly before retreating to cool apartment. The Chicago Movies in the Park Series is showing Raiders of the Lost Ark tonight in Wicker Park, but I might be too tired to make it there!
Anyway, while out shooting these photos, one of the neighbors' cats came to say hello. They informed me that he never approaches strangers, but he came right up to Lauren and me and started rubbing all over us. Ugh, I love cats. I miss Kitty so much and want to get another little buddy. Anyway, I'm not sure what this ginger cat's name is, so I nicknamed him Slimer.
As for these Ray-Bans? I found them yesterday. Yeah, that's right. Found them. I guess it was my lucky day picking up a pair of $125 sunnies, but I probably jinxed it today when I walked under a construction worker's latter. Oh well.
