Limeade

As a part of Mini Penny's blog birthday, I'm taking a look back at one of my first series — The 30 Day Fashion Challenge. Check back every day for a look at how big of a difference three years can make!

I was going to write about this yesterday, but I was still a bit emotional over the whole thing, so I figured I'd give myself an extra day to chill out.

Thursday night, my best friend was mugged by three dudes at knifepoint while on his way to my place. I'm pretty sure I can't describe how horrible it is to see someone you care about show up on your doorstep with a face full of blood. The only thing they got was his wallet, old broken iPhone and iPod. His face was a little rough, but after cleaning off the blood it seemed like it was only a broken nose and busted lip.

But, like, shit. He was innocently doing what I do a million times — walking down the street with headphones in. It could have been so much worse for him and we both came away from it with a more positive lesson that we're now both aware what can happen when you're distracted. Crimes like these tend to happen more often as the weather warms up regardless of what city you're in, so please be aware and careful of your surroundings!


But, onto otherness. I've been slowly adding to my "ugly" earring collection. Next up is this gold feather ear cuff from H&M.


I decided to choose these overalls as my most unique item in my closet. Now, it's really a stretch because these are mass produced by H&M. So they're not at all unique in terms of how many are available. However, I fought the overalls trend for a long time because of my short inseam. I didn't think there would be any chance I'd ever find some I like. So when I tried these on at H&M, I was pretty shocked and decided to add them to my wardrobe. They're my only pair of overalls, making them pretty unique to the other pieces in my closet.


Oh and again with this coat, because it's still chilly. Thankfully, it's been rainy rather than snowy the past few days, which I prefer.
