Yesterday I had a chance to stop by Universal Standard's new Chicago location for a 1:1 Styling Session. I ended up with a few pieces that I love and tried on a lot of great items from their collection. Having this new spot in the city is exciting — it's a great community space and is very inviting. When I arrived, there were already some picks waiting for me! I browsed the website briefly before I went in, so I had a pretty good idea of the things I wanted to try and the color palette.
The space itself is a beautiful open loft in the West Loop. There's plenty of room for gathering and organizing. I attended the opening party just a couple weeks ago and seeing this space utilized for an event was great!
And of course I love these colorful little touches by artist Adrianne Hawthorne.
All of the clothes themselves are wonderfully crafted. I found myself walking through the space and touching everything! I especially loved these smooth fabrics on dresses and blouses and the perfectly soft Foundation pieces.
At the end of my visit, I left with a few courtesy tees and tanks, plus I bought this tie tank, white jeans, and a cami dress! I've been dying to replace my old old old white jeans, and these are the perfect fit. They're flattering but still stretchy! I can't wait to take them on my upcoming California vacation.
