I got two new Pixi boxes to share with you all! The first box came with just the toner and the second had plenty of new makeup to try out. The colors are great, but I ran into a few issues with the one pencil I was looking forward to the most.

Here's what I got:
❖ Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner
❖ Mattelustre Lipstick in Pure Fuchsia and Plum Berry
❖ Endless Brow Gel Pen in Medium
❖ Cat Eye Ink in Intense Black
For starters, the Glow Tonic. I was really excited to try this out when I first heard about it. It smells wonderful and clean, but otherwise I didn't find any noticeable difference from other toners I've used. Since it comes in a small bottle, I keep it at my boyfriend's house and use it in my travel bag!

Up next, the Mattelustre lipsticks. The name gave me the impression that they would have some type of matte finish. They don't! However, the formula is smooth and soft, making them easy to apply and wear. I received it them in Pure Fuchsia (top image) and Plum Berry (lower image). I would love to try this in Honey Bare! Be warned that these colors, especially the darker one, really stained my lips!

The Endless Brow Gel Pen is great for on the go! I used it in combination with my Brow Palette. I really loved the texture and it stays put well enough to get me through the day.
The Cat Eye Ink, on the other hand, was a disappointment. When I saw this in my box, I was so stoked to give it a shot! The chisel tip was a challenge on its own, but I found that the stiff applicator pen made it nearly impossible to get nice points and smooth edges. I really love my Milani liquid liner, and this Pixi pen wasn't nearly as easy to apply.
Once I finally got the liner on, it constantly felt like my eyelid was sticking together. It took approximately three or four hours for my lid to look like the lower photo — nowhere near a cat eye. Bummer! I'm sad to say that this liner is going to go in the trash. I wanted to love it (because, duh, cat eyes!), but it was a big let down.

How about you? Have you been excited about any makeup lately that let you down?
